The Caswell Knife Sharpening Kit
Kit Inclues:
- 2 x 6" diameter x 1" thick Felt Polishing Wheels (with pinhole centers)
- 1 lb 240 grit Aluminum Oxide
- 8oz Buffing Wheel Cement
- 1 Bar Coated Abrasive Grease Stick
- 1 Bar White Buffing Compound (Jumbo Sized)
- 1 Sheet 60 Grit Sandpaper
- Instructions
For use with a bench grinder or polisher that spins at 3000-3600 RPM. Tapered buffing spindles may be required to mount the wheels on the machine (see related products to the left of this page if you need them). Eye protection required.
Start by preparing one of the buffing wheels with abrasive. Apply the wheel cement, then roll in the abrasive. Allow to set up overnight.
Sharpen the knife edges with the abrasive wheel first (with the included grease applied), then remove the feathered edge with the other wheel and the white buffing compound. Includes enough abrasive and compound to sharpen 300-400 knifes.
Use the 60 grit sandpaper to recondition

Beginner level products can and should be used by anybody, including those who consider themselves not crafty, handy or hands on. Most beginner level products can be used out of the box and can expect results within minutes.
