Product Description
These buffs are specially treated to give longer life than standard buffs. This treatment makes them much harder than regular cotton buffs, which allows the user to exert more pressure onto the wheel and gets the job done faster. Use with any compound just like standard spiral sewn wheels.Safety Information

Great
The only unfortunate part of the treated spirals, is that they are only 1/2" thick. As another review stated for them, you really need to stack them to get larger work done. I wholeheartedly agree. A 7/8" width version would be more popular. That being said, I only bought one - so I had to make it work. And it does, great. Using black emery compound, I was able to cut aluminum down without prepping with greaseless compound. I was working on sand-cast parts. These wheels last longer than their standard untreated cousins, but they get a pretty good stink going once they get hot. Nothing bothersome, but I thought it was my buffing motor! Nope, just the hot treated cotton awesomeness. Once money permits, I'll buy another 8", and probably a couple of 10".
