Product Description
Spiral sewn wheels are the workhorse of most buffing and polishing jobs. Because the plies of cotton cloth are sewn together spirally, the wheel becomes much harder and more pressure can be exerted on it. This is especially useful when 'cutting' the metal.
The faces of these wheels are pre-raked to accept compound immediately.
These wheels are dependable and long wearing.

Perfect for my needs.
There are times that I need a bigger, stiffer wheel for things. This is perfect for those times. I normally use a 10" x 1/2" wheel, but they fail me when I need to really cut deep to get out the corrosion. At the same time, if I need to cut the wheel to get a wider, softer touch I can do that also.

Put this baby right to work!
Received my 10x7/8 spiral. Man what a difference moving up to a 10" wheel from the smaller, thinner variety. I've always used smaller wheels on smaller motors, but the 10" wheel really lets you get the work done quicker, so long as you have the power to turn it. (3/4HP+) The spiral wheels don't flex much at all, but are soft enough to bend into areas better than the treated wheels. The 7/8" width really holds compound well, and keeps your wheel from walking on the part. I use spirals with black and brown compounds, but feel free to use white compound as well (just keep your wheel clean).
