Product Description
Use with any compound to cut or color your metal. Gets into cracks and crevices better than Spiral Sewn Cotton Wheels. Buffing Compound Aluminum Polishing Kit Spiral Sewn Cotton Wheel Wheel Rake Free How To Buff and Polish Booklet Buffing Wheel & Compound Kits The main purpose of a loose cotton wheel is to polish and cut in a similar manner to the Spiral sewn wheel, except that this wheel, not being tightly stitched together, will 'mush' or collapse, allowing the cotton to get into awkward places more easily. If you have an object with fine details and awkward crevices, then this is the wheel to use. Because you will be unable to exert pressure which slows down other harder wheels, you should consider putting LARGER loose cotton wheels on your buffer. This will increase the surface speed, improving the overall finish and the time involved. For example, on a 1/4hp motor, @ 3450rpm, you can safely put up an 8" wheel x 1/4" thick. On a 1/3rd hp motor, 10" x 1/2" thick, on 1/2hp motor 8" x 1" thick. 3/4hp motor can carry several 12" wheels. Use with any compound.Safety Information

Better than others I've tried
These wheels are way better than what came with my buffer. You can tell the difference right away. the faces are "pre-dressed" and ready to accept compound. The cloth they use is a much higher grade than the cheap muslin wheels I've always used. You can tell right away by how soft the face is, and how few strings are thrown. All this quality for the same price other places peddle their crappy ones for. They spin perfectly true, and are well balanced. A++

Great on an AC drill
I used this wheel for use with white compound on a drill. Would be better with a higher rpm, but this will let you put the final touches on your aluminum pieces. Working on aluminum wheels these came in handy - flexible enough to reach into small grooved areas. I sacrificed my spares for use with black and brown compound with excellent results. I'm going to enjoy using these little feller's larger cousins. But I'll still keep a 4" handy for use on a drill.

Great Product- Well Made and very soft
I purchased a group of these to add to my buffing collection for metals. These are very well made and are top notch quality. The stitching is done very well and will hold for a long time so don't let the picture deceive you. I polished up some aluminum and had no issues what so ever. I recommend these to anyone looking for a loose cotton wheel.
