Product Description
These professional quality anodizing dyes provide consistent, quality results. The same dyes are sold to professional anodizing shops all over the world. 4oz of dye concentrate makes 2 Gallons.
These colors are approximate. The finish will normally have a more 'metallic' look, and will vary slightly depending on the alloy and surface preparation.
Procedure for Obtaining Dyed Anodize
Anodize the aluminum at 60-75°F for 90 minutes at 4.5 amps per sq foot or 0.03 amps per sq inch. Use our Anodizing Kit.
After thorough rinsing, immerse the part in the dye at a temperature of 140°F for 15 minutes.
Finally, seal by hanging the part in a sealer bath for 15 minutes.

it's gold
I've never been impressed with how well this absorbs into the parts. It takes a very long time and it does have to be very hot in order to absorb.

Good as Gold
My neighbor wanted to anodize a piece of ,125" aluminum (type unknown) and dye it gold. De-smut had little or no reaction. The anodizing went without a hitch. I immersed the part in the warm dye and the piece started to take on color almost immediately. I pulled it after about 12 minutes. It was a bit darker than I wanted and realized I should have pulled it earlier but he was elated at the outcome. I steam sealed the part and gave it a coat of lacquer. Beautiful ! Highly recommended.

Not bad
This dye is gold. what more do you expect. You get what you want. Works well if a little slow for me. I've also used it for a yellow.

Excellent !
Le résultat est superbe . Mais il dépend de votre préparation . Pour ma part, j'ai re-dilué une seconde fois la teinture avec 100% d'eau distillée pour un résultat parfait . Sur une pièce polie, on dirai vraiment de l'or !
