Indispensable. Period
I had a copy of an earlier version of the Caswell Plating manual. I recently purchased a plating kit and thinking that I already had a copy of the plating manual I removed it from my order. Well I've gone through every nook and cranny in my house and cannot find it so, remembering how important it was to the success of my previous plating project about 7 years ago (An air rifle barrel and receiver, etc...) I wasn't about to start trying to plate with this new kit without it. Plus its the newest version and I doubt my previous one was Version 10 so it was a no brainer. You can plate just about anything using Caswell's products. Most of their systems are super easy to use (at least the three that I have purchased in the past all worked out great for what I was doing with them) and work great, but with the plating manual, you will know exactly what's involved with each method of plating, their benefits and limitations and lets you decide which kit / process best suits your needs and project(s). It's a wealth of information that you cannot find in one place. Period. Try looking up everything in this manual individually and it would take forever and You cannot trust information found at random places like you know you can with this manual. Its worth it for the safety factor alone. Buy it, you will not regret it.
