A good final buff on lacquered surfaces.
I use this as my final super-gloss compound. It does a wonderful job on the finish of a new hand-made guitar!

Works great on chrome fixtures
I bought the jumbo pack of compounds, but didn't have a lot of use for this compound... until I decided to buff the chrome and brass fixtures in our house. This stuff works great! I cleaned everything very well, and prior to me having a buffing set up - I just used Brasso. Well needless to say, it sucks. I hit the chrome pieces directly with blue after the brasso, and it brought out a shine I wasn't sure existed. On one fixture, I had to use the white compound before finishing with blue, but it does a fantastic job. I actually used a loose cotton wheel to do this, as a flannel wheel (4") was simply too flimsy to get in the places I needed to buff. Needless to say, this was my least used compound until that, and now I hit the chrome on our cars with it too, to remove fine water spotting, and to eliminate minor swirl marks. I think of this as the wax on a freshly buffed coat of paint. The oddity, is that I didn't really notice much of a difference with the blue on aluminum than the white, other than the fact the blue wouldn't bring the shine out without a lot of patience. A quick hit over a white compounding would suffice, but on aluminum I would stop at white. But by all means hit your chrome and brass with this after a good prep. I learned a little trick as well - if you take a drop of water and let it sit on the blue bar for a minute or so, it makes a layer of paste you can use to rub with your finger. Sometimes, you simply can't buff because the wheels won't fit. This worked great as well, actually reminded me of the soft layer on a bar of soap that's been waterlogged. I'm sure it works great on silver and gold as well. Worth a shot either way. :)

Best Buffing Compound for Plastic Materials
Combined with the String Buffing Wheel, you have a great combination to polish/bring up the shine on plastic. The Jumbo "brick" size of the Blue compound is economical and does the job well.
