Great for getting into corners
I have a couple of these with dual 6" wheels fitted. They grip well and are particularly effective when polishing in corners due to the smooth outer end, so the wheel end can get right up to a perpendicular projection from the face being polished. I also have some adapters with the nut on the outer end which are impossible to use in tight areas, where the nut begins to catch on the workpiece and damage it - these are much better. One small drawback is that the shank on the ones I received is slightly under 1/4" and whilst it holds firm in a standard drill chuck, I find it does not hold so well in a 1/4" collet chuck, such that I have stopped using them in this chuck due to the frequency of it coming loose - a problem I do not have with other 1/4" shank tools in the same chuck.

I tend to have one arbor per wheel
These are well made, great threads and cinch to the wheels super tight!

Very handy for the small stuff
I bought one of these some time back, and she is still working flawlessly today. It's a 1/4" shank with a 1/2" hole on the wheel side. I used this in conjunction with a die grinder and AC drill motor, with excellent results. It's not off balance, keeps a good grip on your wheels, and does what it's supposed to do. I wouldn't use it with anything more than a 6" wheel, I used 4" wheels. On the die grinder, just keep the RPM's sub-maximum so you don't risk breaking this thing off and making a lethal projectile out of it. I think there's juts enough of a shank you could mount 2 4" flannel wheels for a nice, super wide final polishing setup for use with a drill. I wouldn't be afraid to use liquid polish that way, either. Comes with a black oxide finish, and a reverse-thread nut & washer. I left mine out in the weather, and it didn't even rust. No complaints here! I might buy two or three more, just so I don't have to swap wheels each time I move to a different compound.

Nice item
Needed this for a special project. works great.

A Must Have
I use these not only for buffing but I chuck a wheel for applying any of the greaseless compounds as the slower rpm's of the drill will not sling it all over the place.

Quality product!
Quality is first rate. I decided I needed one for each of my buffing pads for quick switch.
