Chrome stripper
This is probably my favorite product from Caswell. Have used this numerous times to strip old chrome from golf iron heads. DO NOT try to make your own recipe. Trust me, I tried it with horrible results. I used it on small batch. The key is making sure you use enough. Read the directions and you can’t go wrong. Like all of Caswell products they provide excellent directions on how to use and set up your tank or whatever you are using. Use a small fan as this does have some fumes but nothing crazy. You can see the chrome lifting as the solution will turn yellow. I used 6V-12V and it worked fine. You can even just set up your system to use a 1.5V Battery and it works awesome. Fewer Volta are better for plating IMHO. This is very cost effective no matter how you decide to use it (swab or immersion). I used immersion. Highly recommend Caswell, you can’t go wrong and it is worth the peace of mind if you are trying this for the first time at home.

I have been doing some automotive trim restoration. After hours of sanding I thought there had to be a better way. I have tried the over counter route (lye) and it etched and only did a marginal job. I decided to try Caswell's stripper and I couldn't be happier with the results. It worked faster with higher temps, but even around 70 it worked great. It just took a little while longer. There were no signs of etching.

Works pretty good, only thing I found is on stripping already anodized parts it took longer than 30min

Much better product than ANYTHING in ANY Store!
If you know what you are doing with this product, it can't be beat for a clean strip with no damage to the parts. Not cheap, but still worth EVERY penny! Thanks Caswell!
