Product Description
This kit is ideal for repairing small damaged areas of chrome, perhaps a small scratch in a bumper, which left untended, would rust causing further damage. Buffing to remove any existing rust, then brush plating with Copy Chrome® can prevent further rusting and almost eliminate the visibility of the scratch.

Great product, and protects against corrosion well!
After using this for immersion plating, doing some smaller handles, etc., on my 1952 Logan lathe restoration, I learned that chrome plating isn't that hard! It's not quite as hard as real chrome, but my goal was to make the lathe look great and protect the cast iron knobs from rusting in Houston humidity, and this product did great in this regard. I also immersion plated my handwheels by rotating them slowly through a bath of this stuff while connected to the power supply (I only wanted the outer rim plated). The handwheels came out looking great, and two years later they're still corrosion free, even in Houston humidity and occasional use! Polish the part, copper plate, light polish again, chrome plate, then final polish. I can get a knob done in just over an hour, or do however many at a time. Awesome!

great looks
I had to redo my 1911 pistol from the old factory blueing job to a nice finish and I chose Copy Chrome. This stuff plates clean and shiney right off the bat. Glad I chose Caswell.
