Preparation

step 1

Remove loose debris.

Step 2

Clean with water and mild detergent. Rinse and dry. A dry surface is necessary for maximum adhesion.

Step 3

Mask off all areas not to be coated.

Step 4

Thoroughly sand truck bed to edges of tape with 240-320 grit sandpaper for maximum.

Step 6

Scuff truck bed and remove glossy, hard or rusted areas with a 3M Scotch Brite pad or equivalent.

Remove sanding dust before final cleaning.

Use Truck Bed Coating directly on properly prepared surface.

(no primer needed)

Spray on liberal amount of product evenly over truck bed.

Step 9 Aerosol

Wait 1-2 hours for first coat to dry before applying a second coat.

Step 10 Aerosol

A minimum or 5 mils is ideal for optimum thickness and surface texture.

Attach TRG 102 Spray Gun to Truck Bed Coating can with grommeted cap

Step 9 Sprayable

Spray 2-3 wet coats

Step 10 Sprayable

Unmask truck. Let air dry. Do not bake.

Roll-on steps

Step 7 Roll-on

Use Truck Bed Coating directly on properly prepared surface (no primer needed)

Step 8 Roll-on

Cut in all corners and hard to reach areas with chip brush.

Step 9 Roll-on

Pour small amount of product in roller pan.

Step10 Roll-on

With the 4" roller, spread a liberal amount of product evenly over truck bed.

Step 11

Start at the front of the truck bed and work back toward the tailgate.

Step 12

Wait 1-2 hours for the first coat to dry before applying a second coat.

Step 13

A minimum of 5 mils is ideal for optimum thickness & surface texture.
