Pictures
Of Workshops and Other Projects
The plating room is the bathroom of a 14'x70" mobile
home that I've converted to a workshop. It's not really well
organized yet but it works.
- The first shot is a general view of the room.
- The second is a view of my setup for plating a Model A
Ford emergency brake handle. It is a plastic container for
wetting pre-pasted wallpaper.
- The last shot is my first copper-nickel job. It is a Model
A Ford light switch/horn button assembly. The switch handle
is cast aluminum with was buffed to restore. The horn button
is in the center and is retained by a ring with fold-over
tabs at the back of the switch handle. Both the button and
the retainer ring were originally nickel plated.
I deplated them with pickel #3. Then copper plated, buffed
and finally nickel plated and buffed. I am extremely happy
with the results. It was fun to do and I didn't risk losing
hard to find parts at a commercial plater. Thanks for your
help along the way. I recommend your products to anyone.

I purchased your anodizing kit last Summer as well as a rectifier
in the Fall. Attached are some photos of my 1/4 Scale Extra
300XS (just finished) that I will be using in some Spring
contests. I anodized the spinner, landing gear, and muffler
on the engine purple. It turned out looking very professional
if I do say so myself! Chris Furgerson.

We start with a plain sheet of Aluminum, impress a pattern,
punch out discs, form the dome of the bead, anodize, dye,
then rivet the two halves together. I will be selling finished
jewelry and also selling the beads at bead shows. - Amy Burk

Some parts plated with our Copy Chrome™ System
I would like to thank your for all your help.
My brief story is that I wanted to build a show 4 wheeler
quad and I wanted to have shiny mirror like chrome parts.
I wanted to see if their was a do it yourself kit so I browsed
the internet and found you. I was also budget conscious and
didn't want to spend a fortune on Chrome plating and your
products were my obvious choice. It was a challenge in the
beginning since I was a beginner with no knowledge. your manuals
were really good and very informative. Through a couple of
trial and errors, I found myself catching on very quickly,
and plating like a pro. I am very happy with your products
and with my accomplishment. Your copy chrome kit paid for
itself in just a couple of parts that I did.
I'm sending you a couple of pictures of what I did so far
which include:
Cylinder and head brake calipers
bolt heads and nuts engine support bracket
ignition cover hydraulic brake splitter
clutch cover and various other parts
Just want to say thanks again.
Sincerely yours, from Mark Kornytchuk

Piccolo Keys Plated With Plug
N' Plate Silver

The plug n plate silver plating kit i purchased yesterday
worked wonderfully. I read the directions in your kit, and
the plating manual, then of course I did an experiment. I
finished the piccolo key and I made a piccolo head crown out
of brass and plated them. I prepped them by buffing them with
tripoli compound, and rouge, then I degreased them using acetone,
and carefully wiped them with a clean flannel cloth. Because
the parts are so small, I decided not to use the wand. I took
an old sterling silver ring as an anode and connected it to
the power supply and the piccolo parts were clipped directly
with the other alligator clip. I submersed both in the plastic
jar, and turned on the power. It took just a few minutes.
They did come out dark, and "smutty" as your manual
says, but it wiped right off. Best Regards, Matt Slauson

Items plated with Fast
Gold
These items plated with Copy Chrome™, Nickel and Gold
I have had great success with the Gold
plating solution. I recently plated the screws holding
my motorcycle handlebars. Before they were badly rusted. I
was amazed at how fast it worked. Thanks to you I have been
finding the materials I have been looking for and learning
more and more how to use them. EXCELLENT.
This is a old military helmet that I plated. I first started
with the Copy Chrome™
but later went over it with the Nickel.
The picure came out dark but I also used the Gold solution
around the brim or edge of it. I have used the Gold solution
to also replate a medal for my younger brother and I plated
a part of his watchband for him. Once again Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

This Banjo Was Plated With Our Gold
Plating Kit
I built this banjo about six years ago with
nickel plated parts. I have for many years wanted a gold plated
banjo. Fortunately, after finding your web site and receiving
your catalog, I knew this was the way to go.
I few months ago I purchased your tank gold
plating kit. I spoke to you several times and you were always
helpful. I told you when I completed my project, I would send
you pictures and here is the finished product.
I am extremely happy with the outcome. Special
thanks to you and all the folks at Caswell Plating.

Plated with Plug N Plate™ Brass
Here is a very clear close up of the finished pulls, and
yes I am very impressed with your chemicals. Can't wait to
get
the 1 gallon set up for brass so I can do more than 1 thing
at
a time.

Some time ago I found an old jewelry
piece with my Explorer. It was buried 3" deep in the
gravel of our driveway. The gravel is brought up from the
creek on our property. We figured that this piece came up
with the gravel after being washed into the creek from one
of the old homesites along the creek. Many of these sites
date to before the civil war. I had a lot of difficulty finding
out what this piece was. Finally decided that it was what
is called a dress clip and was worn at the neckline of a
dress. I was able to show the piece to an exhibitor at the
Chickamauga show that had a jewelry booth for civil war jewelry
booth and she agreed that it was indeed a dress clip and
dated to 1875. I have cleaned and restored the clip. First
step was to clean with an ultrasonic cleaner. Next a dip
in Tarnex, straightening and annealing the prongs. Then It
was replated using a Caswell
Plug N' Plate™ gold plating
kit. Next a new gem, a 10mm. amethyst. Finally 3 freshwater
pearls. Rick Fields

Here is some antique door hardware Irestored
using the 1 gallon brass kit, I purchased from you. I'm very
satisfied with it so far. Ibuffed the steel base with some
greaseless compounds, then used some black emery, then red
rouge, cleaned the pieces very well, plated for about 20 minutes,
then washed and rinsed, then to a final buffing using red
rouge again.

Hi I wanted to show you my results of my first
attempt at plating. I used the Plug N Plate™ system,
with the Gold. This is a 1956 Motorola transistor radio that
had a completely shot, peeling brass coating. It now has a
24Ct. Gold plate, and I could not be any happier with the
results - Thank you!!
