The Glass Polishing Kit

A low cost solution to those irritating vision impairing scratches

Our glass polishing kit consists of one 2" diameter felt bob mounted on a 1/4" shaft, with a tub of abrasive optical grade Cerium powder, the finest glass polishing compound available.

Kit Contains:

  • 8oz (by weight) tub of Cerium Oxide Powder
  • 2" Wide x 1" High x 1/4" Shaft Felt Bob
  • Instruction Sheet

To remove scratches that you cannot feel with your fingernail, mark them on the inside of the glass with a crayon or a piece of tape. (Deeper scratches may not be possible to completely remove.)

Mix up a small quantity of the abrasive powder with some water to make a wet slurry, and dip the flat end of the felt bob in it.

Mount the bob in the fastest electric drill available.

Using the FLAT bottom of the bob, (not the cylindrical side), work the slurry up and down across the scratch until it is removed.

Keep the surface wet - do not allow the slurry to dry out, otherwise the glass will get hot.

Testimonial - I purchased your glass polishing kit that comes with cerium oxide and a buffing wheel to put into a drill. It worked great. I had an interior door that I was finishing and accidentally slipped with 120 grit sand paper off the wood and scuffed the glass. I taped everything off and worked the polish for about an hour and a half and it looks good. I had the privacy frosting on the back side so that helped. But the kit I purchased from you guys was great. Couldn't be happier.
Thanks,
Chad

Testimonial - The product worked better than I had expected. I have a wood burning stove and after a period of time the ceramic glass gets cloudy and no amount of cleaning will remove it. The company that makes the stove says there is nothing you can do about this, but they sell new glass and it's not cheap. Using your product was an inexpensive way to try to clear up the glass. It took a while to do, but it looks like a new piece of glass. I have plenty of powder left for more glass work. Thank you again, Myles
